Courses for Kids

Bubblemaker 8+

Kids can learn to dive too and are often braver than their parents when it comes to taking the plunge and trying scuba diving! The Bubblemaker course is an introductory course aimed at kids who want to try scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment. After watching a 30 min video, you'll learn some skills in the swimming pool and have time to get comfortable with the equipment. Under the supervision of a PADI Instructor, practice swimming underwater with full scuba gear, keep blowing plenty of bubbles and learn some cool tricks.

PADI SEAL Team Program:

The PADI SEAL Team Program is a great way to introduce children to the excitement of the underwater world. The program is activity filled and includes both academic and in-water sessions. Think about how excited your child will be to swim around underwater and experience the thrill of diving.

Getting the Children on the SEAL Team:

The SEAL Team program has a total of 15 Aqua Missions and in order to become an official member the kids must complete the first 5 Aqua Missions. During these initial sessions the kids will learn basic scuba skills and knowledge while they prepare for more adventures.

PADI developed the SEAL Team video especially for the younger kids. This video shows them the basics of scuba, the equipment they will be using and why they need to learn certain scuba skills in order to dive safely. Once they have finished watching the video they turn to their SEAL Team Aqua Mission Activity Book and complete their homework assignment. When they arrive at the pool the instructor will provide them with a mission briefing, conduct a skill session and add in an underwater game or activity they can enjoy.

When they have successfully completed an Aqua Mission and have their Activity Books filled out correctly they earn an Aqua Mission Decal to show they have completed objectives for that specific dive.

By completing Aqua Missions 1-5, which is equivalent to completing all the skills outlined in PADI's Confined Water DIve One session from the Open Water course, means youngsters are official PADI SEAL Team members. They will receive a PADI SEAL Team member card and wall certificate.

This course will allow you to dive anywhere in the world, anytime, as long as you are accompanied by a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian.

The Junior Open Water course structure is essentially the same as for the adult course. You’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.

You'll earn this rating by completing confined water training and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives.

What do you need?

  • You need to be a minimum of 10 years old
  • You need to be able to swim 200 meters.
  • You need to be able to tread water for 10 minutes

PADI Junior Open Water Divers are qualified to:

What's involved?

The PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification is the corner stone of the PADI System. The course is split into three main areas with sub divisions:

  • Confined water is the next segment and is conducted in water that represents swimming pool like conditions. During this portion of the course you will be taught how to master all of the scuba skills.
  • The final segment is made up of four open water dives conducted over 2 days. These take place on the Reef Ranger. Our new boat offers full amenities and comfort, including refreshments, coffee and tea.

During these dives you will show that you have mastered all that you have learned in the previous two areas and before completion the student must complete
